Wrestler Pin up Medievale
Questo weekend è stato semplicemente me-ra-vi-glio-so. Per festeggiare il compleanno di quattro nostre amiche abbiamo organizzato una festa dal tema desueto: wrestler pin up medievale!
Si può immaginare come, una volta messa da parte la serietà e la dignità, ognuno di noi si sia presentato già dal pomeriggio coi più improbabili indumenti addosso. Cavalieri, dame di corte, spade ma anche cinture dorate, gomitiere, rossetto sgargiante e acconciatura anni '40...eravamo decisamente ben assortiti.
Ci siamo misurati in virili prove d'abilità dal sapore medievale, ma soprattutto ci siamo goduti la giocoleria col fuoco. Che meraviglia!
Una festa che è durata più di dodici ore e che ha visto mille genti andare e venire da casa nostra come fosse un mercato rionale, una confusione felice che già mi manca. E come dimenticare l'attimo di smarrimento e la subitanea decisione quando ci siamo accorti che le birre stavano finendo: andiamo a rifornirci senza toglierci il costume! Si, modalità "regresso alla prima adolescenza" mode on.
Quattro festeggiate, quattro torte (o di più?), quattro momenti di consegna dei regali: la musica metal-medievale-celtica-d'n'b non ha saputo mettere a tacere il loro imbarazzo palpabile.
So che La Magione è amata dai nostri amici tanto quanto lo è da noi, e questo si percepisce sempre, sia che ci siano venti persone a far del casino durante una festa, sia che siano solo due, venuti a far finta di studiare e a far delle chiacchiere. Per quanto mi riguarda adoro passare il mio tempo sulla maxi poltrona del salotto, adoro arrivare il venerdì e sentire che è più caldo fuori sotto la pioggia che dentro davanti alla stufa appena accesa, adoro puzzare di fumo, adoro persino quando qualcuno rompe qualcosa (il che avviene ad una velocità sorprendente, se ci penso). Non è affatto la casa perfetta, la casa comoda, la casa bella. Ma è formidabile nel suo essere la casa di tutti, e questo basta, a quanto pare, a renderla adorabile.
We had the most incredible theme party ever last weekend. It's been just great, about twenty guests and four celebrated people.
It all started in the afternoon, when we decided to spend our time playing with the fire and to do juggling with it. We were all dressed, and we were definitely proud to show to the world our loss of dignity, according someone's belief: we were medieval wrestling pin up! The stupidest theme ever has proved to be the best one, we had such a great time that it'll be hard to organise a better party.
We played in the garden till the light helped us to see each other, then the party moved into La Magione. We finally managed to keep the rooms warm and it was just perfect to chat in front of the fireplace, drinking beer and having fun while dressed like fools. And when beers finished we went to the closer shopping place to buy some and we've been appreciated by cashiers. Moreover, because it was the birthday party of four people, we had four cakes and four embarassing moments in which they received their silly gifts.
The party lasted for more than twelve hours and I'm so happy we managed to organise it so perfectly!
I know that La Magione is loved by our friends as much as we love it, and we always feel this love, is that there are twenty people during a party, whether they are only two, came to pretend to study and actually doing chats. As for me I love spending my time on the big chair in the living room, I love to arrive on Friday and feel that it is warmer outside in the rain than in front of the stove just turned on, I love to smell of smoke, I love even when someone breaks something (which occurs at a surprising speed, I think).
It's not the perfect house, the comfortable house, the beautiful house. But it is formidable in its being the home of all, and that's enough, apparently, to make it adorable.
